Childcare

Why do we have childcare?

The Brindabella Women's Group has been designed to give our members and visitors an opportunity to take time out with other mums, access information and partake in hands-on projects, so we also provide quality childcare to enable you to freely enjoy our weekly activities. Mothers are also welcome to keep their children with them if they prefer.

Who can use the childcare?

All members and visitors are welcome to use our childcare facilities.
Childcare places are limited and preference will always be given to mothers, then relative carers and unpaid carers, and then paid carers such as family day carers.

How many children are in the group?

We can have up to 20 children in the group at any one time, if numbers exceed this then we will create a roster so that a group of parents can help out our carers.

Does it cost money?

We ask for a $5.00 voluntary contribution per session towards materials and childcare costs.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring the following things for your child if you are planning to use childcare:

• A piece of fruit or healthy snack to be shared for morning tea, unless your child has allergies or special dietary needs such as baby food.
• A sandwich for lunch.
• A cup or bottle with water (labelled).
• A change of clothes (in a labelled bag).
• Nappies and a plastic bag for dirty nappies (including disposables).
• A comforting toy if needed.
• A sun hat. Please ensure that your child has sunscreen on before leaving them in childcare.

Please remember that the childcare facility is a NUT FREE ZONE.

Please try to limit messy foods that may be easily spilt.
